TABC Varsity Hockey Report

On Thursday, February 6th, the TABC Varsity Storm went into Frisch to take on the Cougars in a game that would strongly influence the winner of the MYHSHL Western Conference.

Early in the first period, Frisch took a 1-0 lead, but the Storm came back strong- scoring 2 goals off the sticks of Aryeh Pechet and Yehoshua Zirman to make the score 2-1.

The Storm came out even stronger in the second period, netting another goal off the stick of Aryeh Pechet to make the score 3-1.

In the third period, the Storm added another two goals from Benjy Lankin and Buddy Wise to cap off a big win for the Storm and another great game from goaltender Craig Klein as the Storm push into the playoff stretch.

Two days later, on February 8th, the Storm returned home to finish off the season versus a hungry Kushner Cobra team. Kushner got out to an early lead, but the Storm responded with goals from Aryeh Pechet and Shmuel Levy to make the score 2-1.

However , the Cobras wouldn’t go away as they tied the game up at 2 in the second period.

During the third period, Goalie Craig Klein played another phenomenal game and Aryeh Pechet netted what proved to be the game winner by making it 3-2 as TABC clinched the Varsity Western Conference.
