Tali Siegler’s Bat Mitzvah Bake Sale

The Siegler sisters are at it again. Englewood’s Tali Siegler is following in her sisters’ footsteps and hosting a bat mitzvah bake sale and jewelry sale to benefit some special children.

Shira Siegler started the trend years ago for her bat mitzvah and joined forces with Jen Krup, of Jen K Jewelry, to raise funds for Bet Elazraki in Israel. A few years later, Nava Siegler followed in her footsteps and worked hard for her bake sale, partnering with Jen K as well, to raise funds for Aleh in Jerusalem. Finally, it’s Tali’s turn to collaborate with Jen K—a fabulous partner—sell some delicious desserts and fundraise for a cause close to her heart.

Tali has been a longtime camper at Camp Morasha and every summer she has spent there has been enhanced by her connection with the campers in the Yachad program.  She looks forward to spending time with them and has stayed connected to her Yachad friends throughout the year. In honor of her bat mitzvah, Tali is raising money to sponsor a carnival for Yachad at Camp Morasha this coming summer 2022.

A camp carnival is an inspired, fun, amazing idea but in the Siegler family, they ask: “Why limit yourself to only one chesed project?” A year ago, Tali started a campaign called “Eye Make a Difference” in which she collected used frames to donate to VSP Eyes of Hope, which refits the frames and distributes them to children and adults worldwide with no access to eye care. This week Tali is wrapping up that effort and shipping out 199 frames—in addition to the 506 pairs she sent off before going off to Morasha last summer! Tali is still accepting donations of glasses frames through this Friday.

To support Tali in her efforts to bring joy to her friends at Morasha Yachad, shop at Jen K on Wednesday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Siegler home and at Tali’s bake sale in the same location from 5-7 p.m. There will also be an exciting raffle prize! Email Debbie Siegler for location and any questions at [email protected].
