TBO Softball Middle Girls Championship: Gators and Pandas Wrap Up Exciting Season

(TBO) The Middle Girls TBO softball season reached a thrilling climax as the Gators and the Pandas showcased their skills in an intense championship game for the third through fifth-grade division.

Both teams felt the mounting anticipation as their regular season battles were fiercely contested. One match ended with a 2-0 victory for the Pandas, while the other concluded in a hard-fought 2-2 tie. It was clear that both squads were determined to bring their absolute best to the championship showdown on Father’s Day Sunday..

Throughout the season, the Gators relied on the mighty bats of Adira Horowitz, Danielle Gamss and Miki Kahn, while their formidable pitchers, Jordana Lowe and Sophia Siskind, consistently delivered outstanding performances. Mentored by devoted coaches Avi Horowitz and Alan Teller, the team also witnessed exceptional displays from Leba Feder, Temi Kahn, Hailey Teller, Bailey Hochbaum, Sarah Kessler and Yakeira Berliner.

The Pandas also saw significant contributions from every player on their roster. Kayla Dalezman kept the team united with her infectious enthusiasm, while Sophie Goldsmith displayed her defensive prowess in left field. Yael Zelkowitz drove in RBIs with her new found confidence at the plate and Naomi Frohlich proved to be an outstanding shortstop. Noa Horn shone brightly at second base, and Bonnie Dayan and Tal Chen seamlessly rotated between catcher, third base and outfield, stepping up to fill crucial positions as required. Nava Rosman, the team’s utility player, delivered clutch hits at crucial moments. Mia Weisberg played a vital role both at the plate and on the field with her powerful swing and strong arm. Meanwhile, Tehila Teitelman and  Maayan Teitelman showcased their pitching prowess, playing the role of ace pitchers throughout the playoffs and helping secure a resounding 4-0 victory in the championship game.

The teams expressed their gratitude to the committed parents and family members who braved inclement weather during the season to cheer on the girls. A special thank you is extended to all the dedicated board members, especially Aharon Goldwasser, Matt Diamond, Chava Gamss and Rina Mogul, whose tremendous efforts made the season enjoyable for all involved.

Panda coaches Avi Weisberg, Tzachi Rosman and Howie Teitelman eagerly anticipate welcoming everyone back to TBO next spring for another memorable season.
