Tenafly Chabad Academy gives a special thanks to Ben Hutt from Teach NJ. Ben visited school to speak with seventh and eighth grade classes to shed light on the significance of voting. He began by conducting a fun “vote” between pizza and ice cream, with pizza emerging as the winner. Through this lighthearted exercise, he effectively illustrated the impact of individual votes. He also illustrated how if you don’t vote you don’t get any voice in making decisions.
Ben emphasized the collective power of the Jewish community’s votes, emphasizing that when we all participate, representatives are more likely to take notice of the community’s concerns and priorities. Teach NJ is dedicated to the noble cause of making Jewish education accessible for every child, aligning with the broader goal of fostering an informed and engaged community.
