Five months ago, when well-known local artist Miriam Stern sold many of her original creations with all proceeds going to feed the hungry, she could not anticipate that COVID-19 would still be wreaking havoc for so many at this time. With the pandemic still front and center, Stern will once again hold an online art sale from Nov. 29 through Dec. 6 to raise money to feed the hungry. Proceeds of each sale will go to the buyer’s choice of four charities that deal with food insecurity.
Original, signed and one-of-a-kind collages can be purchased for a donation of $200 per collage. Buyers can choose from four charities that help feed the hungry and make their donations directly to the charity: Tomchei Shabbos of Bergen County, Mazon, Leket Israel and Center for Food Action in Englewood. All donations are 100 percent tax deductible.
The collages are an original and meaningful Chanukah gift for a spouse, family member, business associate or for oneself. It is a gift that will last a lifetime and provide much needed assistance to charities in dire need.
