New York—AMIT, the premier education network in Israel serving more than 32,000 students annually in Israel, will be expanding its local programming and development activities in the tri-state area with the appointment of veteran nonprofit executive Genene Kaye of Teaneck.
Kaye has nearly two decades of experience working as a nonprofit professional. Prior to joining AMIT, she held similar grassroots organizing positions at American Friends of Nishmat, Yeshiva University, UJA Federation of Northern New Jersey and The Moriah School. In her new role, she will plan, organize and execute relevant programming in target communities in Northern New Jersey and Long Island.
“Genene is well regarded in this area for her energy, creativity and enthusiasm that has helped so many Jewish organizations deepen roots in our community. We look forward to having her on our team and developing more programs and services for our current and prospective supporters,” said AMIT President Debbie Moed.
“AMIT is building Israel one child at a time by our schools helping each student reach their fullest potential. These students come from every strata of Israeli society, many of them coping with educational, psychological, economic and social risk factors. I look forward to working with the AMIT team to help spread awareness about the amazing work the organization does for the children of Israel,” said Kaye.
Kaye received her bachelor’s degree from Stern College for Women of Yeshiva University and her master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she majored in public administration with a concentration on Jewish communal service.
