Tenafly Chabad Academy

On a beautiful spring day, the students of Tenafly Chabad Academy’s lower and middle schools spent the day at Alpine Scout Camp to celebrate Lag B’Omer. The day was filled with fun activities, games and learning about the significance of Lag B’Omer.

Rabbi Shain started the day by telling the students about the origins of Lag B’Omer and he gave them each a quarter to give to tzedakah. He then started an exciting bonfire around which all the students were able to roast marshmallows. The children had the chance to participate in various activities throughout the day, including relay races, a nature hunt and traditional games such as capture the flag. The atmosphere was lively and festive, with students cheering each other on and enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings of the Alpine Scout Camp.

Later in the day, the middle schoolers had the chance to showcase their talents at TCA’s Got Talent, impressing the audience with their performances.

Overall, the Lag B’Omer celebration at the Alpine Scout Camp was a wonderful day. It brought together the Tenafly Chabad Academy community, allowed students to learn about Lag B’Omer, and provided a fun and memorable experience for all.
