In school on Friday January 11, there was quite an unusual sight at school. Along with their backpacks, students in grades one to five came to school with sleeping bags, pillows, blankets and stuffed animals. No, there wasn’t going to be a sleepover in school—it was Tenafly Chabad Academy’s second annual Cuddle Up and Read event! Children spent time snuggling up and reading a good book while parent volunteers distributed warm cups of cocoa to everyone. Cuddle Up and Read marked the last day of the winter Scholastic Book Fair and was the kick-off event of the school-wide read-a-thon. Reading is fun at TCA!
