Tenafly Chabad Academy fifth grade students presented an English Language Arts project which they have been working on for the past several weeks. After finishing class reading of the novel “Wonder” by RJ Palacio, each student chose a precept from the book that they felt a personal connection to. Each student then incorporated their chosen precept into a poster which explained its meaning from their point of view as well as provided a visual representation of the precept. The students then presented their project to the class, describing both how the precept can be applied to their everyday lives and how it was exemplified by a particular character in the novel. The children all enjoyed reading and discussing the novel and even came up with some unique precepts of their own.
