Tenafly Chabad Academy Learns About Animals

Second graders from Tenafly Chabad Academy recently delved into the fascinating world of animal habitats as part of their curriculum. To bring their learning to life, they embarked on a field trip to Van Saun Park. Their adventure began with a tour of the zoo, where they encountered various animals and observed firsthand the habitats they inhabit.

The highlight of their trip was a special educational program led by the zoo’s knowledgeable staff. The students gained deeper insights into animal habitats. They had the exciting opportunity to touch and interact with some of the zoo’s inhabitants, while learning about their unique habitats and behaviors.

To cap off their day of exploration, the students enjoyed a delightful ride on the zoo train, soaking in the sights and sounds of the park. They then gathered for a picnic lunch, before returning to school with hearts and minds filled with newfound knowledge and appreciation for the wonders of the animal kingdom.
