The Avenue Event Space Is Now In South Hackensack, Bigger and Better

The room set up for a party.

The Avenue Event Space, formerly on Queen Anne Road in Teaneck, is now at 60 Saddle River Ave. in South Hackensack with everything you need for the perfect party. “We’re your one stop simcha event solution,” said Yuval Graneviz, co-owner and founder.

With 12,500 square feet of space, you can have up to 350 people for a sit-down meal and dancing. The jaw dropping video screen is the largest in New Jersey and can be seen anywhere in the room. It’s set above a stage that can hold a one-man band or complete orchestra. Graneviz has also built the most incredible sound and LED lighting system.

Photos or videos of the star of the party can be projected on the screen while searchlights roam the room, and lighting of any color you want, like green or aqua, adds a festive air. Have just one color or change them as frequently as you want. Music of your choice can be programmed in just the order you want. While the guests dance, the lighting system projects shapes that move across the walls and ceilings. If you choose, a special device sends a cloud of fog up to the ceiling circling around the sparkling chandeliers. You don’t have to know anything about how the technology works; there’s always a tech expert and a manager at your event.

Cutting-edge technology is just one reason to choose Avenue Event Space. Conveniently located in Hackensack, there is plenty of parking in front and back, with room for 100 cars. There are no steps and that makes vendors very happy when they load and unload equipment and supplies. Guests enter the room and immediately become part of the party. The 19-foot ceilings make the room feel spacious, even with a capacity crowd. The coat room is right there and a welcoming bar and cocktail area off to the side are just a few steps away. The multi-person men’s and women’s bathrooms are located away from the action. A kids arcade room is in the back of the hall. The kitchen is ready for caterers to bring in mouthwatering food. A full commercial kitchen is being built and will be ready in the next few months. There’s a lounge area just for hosts, so you can relax and catch your breath before and during the event. Two changing suites are available so you can get dressed leisurely on site. For wedding receptions, the rooms function as bride and groom suites.

“People love that they can come here and everything is taken care of, from welcoming balloons to a cake finale and party favors,” said Graneviz. Events with Maya is now the Avenue’s in house décor and party planner to give your event a unique, creative look. Levels Entertainment Group, operated by Joseph Ghaznavi and Jason Caliano, has come on board and can arrange the MC, dancers and music. The Avenue will bring in motivators for dancing and games—males for bar mitzvahs and females for bat mitzvahs. You have your choice of several different kosher caterers. “Everything you need is already here or can be arranged by us,” said Graneviz, “but you can choose to bring in your own vendors if you want.”

Avenue has the biggest screen in New Jersey.

The Avenue Event Space has developed an exclusive app for clients that makes it easy to choose and price all the elements of an event. The basic package includes the tables, chairs, lounge, bar area, lighting and sound system, DJ, dancers and MC. Or choose each service separately. You can get information about DJs, dancers, party favors, songs, candle lighting ceremonies, mixologists and anything else you want, all on the app. Even when your event is all planned, you can use the app to add last minute services.

Graneviz owned the Avenue Event Space in Teaneck, which closed due to the pandemic lockdowns. When public events became possible again, he looked for a new space. It took a year to find what he wanted. “I learned from my first place what I needed in the next one,” he said. “I looked for a place that had ample parking and a good open layout. I wanted high ceilings, so I could install the best LED lighting and sound system, and a stage.” This location checked off all the right boxes.

Graneviz designed the space in conjunction with Yitzchok Glassner. “I met Yitzchok through a friend, and he was so enthusiastic about what I wanted to do that he joined me as an active partner.”

The Avenue Event Space is ready for your bar/bat mitzvah party, wedding, sweet 16, sheva brachot, birthday party, family reunion or anything you want to celebrate with friends and family. Corporate, nonprofit and school functions are also welcome. Your video will look amazing on the Avenue’s large screen and the stage is ready for an awards ceremony.
