Englewood/Montvale–THE GYM recently raised a total of $12,196.00 for Homes for Veterans by hosting several fundraising events and fitness classes. The events were held in the company’s Montvale and Englewood locations. The money will be used to modify the homes of disabled vets to make them handicapped accessible. Homes for Veterans is a 501(c) (3) in Bergen County.
Commemorative T-shirts were sold and in Montvale, special Yoga, Spin, Kettle Bell, Barre and Boot Camp classes were conducted. In addition, there was a push-up contest between the trainers and fitness instructors. You can watch the videos on THE GYM YouTube page.
In Englewood, there was a dedicated Veterans Day Walk-A-Thon to illustrate the grueling physical exertion soldiers experience under combat conditions. All classes that day were part of the Boot Camp Blast that helped raise money for the charity.
“Homes For Veterans thanks all the employees and members of THE GYM. Their combined fundraising effort is the perfect example of how much Americans appreciate the service and sacrifice of our veterans,” said Doug DiPaola, President/CEO for Homes For Veterans.
