(Courtesy of The Idea School) The Idea School and the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades are pleased to announce that The Idea School will be located at the JCC. The agreement between the two organizations provides space for the school’s initial startup as well as for long-term needs as the school grows.
JCC CEO Jordan Shenker said, “We are proud to partner with The Idea School. The JCC exists to create meaningful experience and strengthen Jewish community. This new partnership helps us fulfill this purpose while meeting a growing need in our community.”
Tikvah Wiener, head of school for The Idea School said, “We are so excited to offer our students access to the entire array of facilities at the JCC. This enables us to offer all the co-curricular activities of a large school—athletic facilities from tennis courts to a swimming pool as well as an art studio and music school, during our startup phase.”
Richard Langer, a board member, added, “This partnership with the JCC benefits all stakeholders. The JCC is ideal for The Idea School: we want to break down the walls between school and community, and the facility, with its multi-generation community from pre-school to senior services, is the perfect place for us.”
Idea School President Raz Haramati said, “We thank the JCC’s CEO Jordan Shenker and the JCC leadership for welcoming us into a space that will be a learning environment where our students are enriched, and can enrich others.”
Jason Shames, CEO of the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey, added, “We applaud Tikvah Wiener and The Idea School for pushing creativity and innovation in Jewish education.”
