The Idea School’s freshmen and sophomore classes spent a day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on the first day of Chanukah. As an experiential component of their learning in their Humanities classroom, the students visited the Ionian exhibits and discussed the dynamic story of Chanukah while discovering treasures in the medieval, Asian and Islamic wings. The afternoon ended with everyone enjoying a traditional and delicious sufganiyah on the steps of the museum.
