On Friday, January 5, the Shefa School lower school gathered for the first Oneg of 2024! The fifth-grade students lead the oneg. They have been studying the Sefer Shemot in their Judaic Studies class and lead the teaching of the parsha for the young students. During the Oneg, the students presented their class project, a diorama that displayed Moshe at the sneh, at the burning bush, and his first encounter with God. The students chose to interpret the story with a specific focus on why Moshe had his shoes off, why he hid his face, and why the bush was a thornbush. During their presentation, they raised questions they still had and led discussions about the scene with the younger students.
