Tikkun Olam and the Reform Movement

As follow up to the points made by career tikkun olam advocate Mr. Kozlovsky regarding tikkun olam (“Tikkun Olam: It Is Time for a Change,” August 1, 2024), changes that are needed in the post-Oct. 7 world. Let’s consider that Israel’s security needs are great and much antisemitism has risen around the world.

I would also like to point out that Reform youth are hardly engaged in anything Jewish related and in our information age they are more ignorant of Judaism than ever. The Reform movement’s priorities are largely to blame and they can and must use their vast resources to improve the situation. But don’t hold your breath; they and their constituents aren’t interested in improving. What a shame!
