Torah in the AM Participants Honored

The two most senior participants in the Torah in the A.M. program were honored on Thursday, November 5. Morris Zimmerman turned 90 that day. Likewise, the oldest participant, Aharon Safier, who is 93, was feted with a brunch that brought together program participants, honorees and some key relatives of the honorees, including some who came in specially from Israel to share in the surprise party.

Torah in the A.M. is a program that has for nine years been sponsored by Congregation Keter Torah. The program meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the synagogue. It is free and open to all. Centered on a Talmud class taught by Rabbi Menachem Meier, the program also includes other classes in Tanach and Jewish thought.
