Tantillo, who appears weekly on “John Bachman Now’s Brand Power” segment on Newsmax and writes the Marketing and Branding Lens column, said: “Marketing gets us to look at business from a different perspective—what do consumers really want? Today more than ever, customers want impactful information based on data, not merely opinion. That requires scholarship and research.”

One of Tantillo’s prime objectives is to prepare Touro’s Lander College for Men students for jobs in growing fields like digital marketing and entrepreneurship. He is introducing a digital marketing certificate, offered by the book publisher Stukent. Through the Stukent Digital Marketing Certification, students are tested on best practices on managing digital marketing campaigns, conducting keyword research, making data-driven decisions, and adjusting their strategies in response to data. They receive a certification upon successful completion. “This digital skillset is beneficial not only to marketers but also to entrepreneurs.” said Tantillo. “Because of digital marketing’s cost efficiency, entrepreneurs can squeeze greater value from their promotional budgets so they can accomplish more.”

“Dr. Tantillo brings not only state-of -the-art marketing know-how, but also a sense of enthusiasm and energy that brings out the best in our students. He is fully invested in their personal success,” said Dr. Moshe Sokol, dean of Touro’s Lander College for Men.

Tantillo will also work with Lander students to apply marketing techniques in order to build their own personal brands, and then leverage that for career growth. He will work closely with Touro’s career services professionals to teach an integrated approach to personal branding, which students will experience through videos, mock interviews and confidence-building techniques. “By working with our Career Development Center, I can ensure that students are academically challenged to brand themselves and then given real-world opportunities to use that brand to achieve their own goals,” said Tantillo.

In addition to teaching for Touro’s Lander College for Men, Tantillo teaches at Touro’s Lander College for Women, Graduate School of Business; and Touro’s New York School of Career and Applied Studies (NYSCAS).

Tantillo holds a doctorate from Hofstra University in applied research psychology, a master’s degree in experimental psychology from Queens College of the City of New York, and a bachelor’s degree from St. Francis College, Brooklyn.
