Visit Dunkin’ Donuts on Teaneck Road and Bring Joy to Children

For many of us, our “go to” place for special treats for our children, relaxing coffee dates and quick on-the-go snacks is Dunkin’ Donuts on Teaneck Road. Frequently, people from out of the area ask on line if it is true, if “really, everything is kosher?”

What most of us do not know is that October is the Dunkin’ Donuts National Paper Icon Fundraiser for the Joy In Childhood Foundation. Each person making a purchase is asked to donate $1 to help provide joy to children battling hunger and illness. Proudly, our Dunkin’ Donuts is number one in its network in fundraising. All staff members have made sure that portions of their tip money have gone to this necessary cause as well.

Many of us rush in and out of DD and give little thought to some of the new staff members working behind the counter. Hiring additional staff has been done in order to improve the store’s efficiency and customer service. Staff members originate from countries as far away as Guyana, India and Nigeria.

The “On the Go” service for those with the Dunkin’ Donuts app has made it so much easier for customers to come in and pick up their orders without having to stand on line. The store now offers gluten-free brownies, and one can request almond milk at any time in case of a dairy allergy or if there is the desire for a quick coffee after a meat meal. On November 19 a new era will begin, with the addition of espresso machines equipped to provide more upscale selections.

Staff members wear name tags for a reason. Greet them by name, and after receiving your receipt fill out the survey, which should not take more than a minute and will benefit the store, employee and yourself. You as the customer will receive a free gift. As an out-of-towner living in this area, we still applaud the fact that Dunkin’ Donuts allows us to enjoy a quick snack at a reasonable cost. Drop by and say hello to Farheen, the store manager who has been working there for eight years, and the newest additions to the staff, Fade and Fikayo, and brother and sister Kenneth and Valentina.
