Congregation B’nai Yehuda (The Yorkville Synagogue) will present a talk by distinguished rav, scholar, writer and bioethicist Rabbi J. David Bleich: “The War in Gaza Through the Prism of Halacha.” The discussion will take place on Shabbat morning, November 18, and is part of the synagogue’s monthly Kiddush, Cholent and Learning program.
Shabbat services begin at 9 a.m., and the discussion will take place at approximately 11:30 a.m.
The Yorkville Synagogue is located in Manhattan at 352 E. 78th Street (between First and Second Avenue).
Rabbi Bleich, one of today’s most respected halachists, is rosh yeshiva and rosh kollel le-haro’ah at RIETS, professor of law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and professor of law and ethics at Yeshiva University. He is widely known as the author of the acclaimed seven-volume series “Contemporary Halakhic Problems,” and many other works.
