Warm Weather Ideas for The Car Enthusiast

Spring has sprung, and we all know that means the start of wonderfully warm weather. But it’s not all nature walks and swimming pools—you can make the most of this season with your hot rod (read: crossover SUV).

Here are five ways to enjoy the weather:

  1. The Trans-New Jersey Trail

This trail is ideal for exploring with a 4WD or AWD car. The 450-mile backroad spans the length of our home state of New Jersey. It’s also known as the “Poor Man’s Safari” for its sand trail that parallels the safari at Six Flags—catch glimpses of the giraffes, ostriches and buffalo without paying the entry fee!

  1. The Classic Auto Mall

Right across the Pennsylvania border, the Classic Auto Mall is a converted shopping mall which features an impressive array of classic cars. Beat the heat and walk around the stores—some you may even recognize, like the Gap—and check out the cars for sale!

  1. Actually Buy a Classic Car

Maybe while you visit the Classic Auto Mall, you see one that strikes your fancy … go ahead and buy it! The return on classic cars over the last 20 years has far outpaced the S&P 500

(https://le-monde-edmond.com/classic-car-returns-over-20-years). Not only is it a great investment, it’s a great way to drive around your neighborhood and meet other car enthusiasts.

  1. Feel the Wind in Your Hair

If buying a classic car isn’t in the cards, then make the most of what you have by putting the windows down and turning the music up. On a nice day, this is all it takes to level up any car. Going over 35 mph with the windows down can turn any nice day into a next level experience.

  1. Wash Your Own Car

Once you get home from your warm weather adventures, your car probably needs a wash. Take advantage of the climate and wash your own car! Both AMMO NYC and Chemical Guys have great videos online on how to do it right. What’s more American than cleaning your own car in your driveway on a nice hot day?
