WDS Fifth Grade Learns About Yitzchak Rabin

Noa and Gili, the WDS Shinshinim, joined the fifth grade to discuss values associated with former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin, whose tragic death occurred on the 12th day of Cheshvan. Students learned who he was and what we can learn from him.

Students were given a picture with Hebrew words describing qualities that Rabin represented and as a group created a cup tower with the English words to match it. Students were then asked which qualities or traits we need when having a discussion or disagreement with someone else. Students mentioned patience, tolerance, willingness, listening, and respect. Students voted on which they believed was the most important character trait to have in a discussion.
