To conclude the semester of studying the Long Island Sound, Westchester Day School fifth graders embarked on an exciting trip to the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk, Connecticut. This hands-on experience allowed students to explore marine life beyond what they typically encounter along the shores of WDS. Seeing a variety of fascinating sea creatures up close deepened their understanding of the Sound’s ecosystem and reinforced their classroom learning in a meaningful way. It was a fantastic way to bring science to life and celebrate their hard work this semester.
