What’s New in the FDU Yeshiva & Seminary Program for Spring 2017?

The Fairleigh Dickinson University Yeshiva & Seminary Program has been busy in order to launch new programs and sites for the Spring 2017 semester. A new premed specialization will be offered in the Yeshiva Program for the men in the Teaneck campus. Students will be able to take the required science and math classes for admittance to medical school with the assistance of the premed advisor.

“This program was offered a few years ago on Sundays to the Yeshiva of Waterbury students, and we are happy to reintroduce it again based on increased demand,” said Associate Dean Swanzey.

Also new for the Spring semester, which starts Monday, January 9, 2017, are classes for women in the Seminary Program in Lakewood in the Courtyard, a lovely facility near the lake. This past fall they expanded to Passaic to Cong. Tifereth Israel in addition to their two Teaneck locations, the Jewish Center of Teaneck and Cong. Bnai Yeshurun. There have been a number of requests to extend this popular program to the Lakewood community. The very successful PCS-FDU MS in Accounting Program has been offered in Lakewood for a number of years. It was decided by popular demand to start with the FDU Seminary Program for women in Lakewood.

Another new specialization for the men in the Yeshiva Program is in Sports Management. Sports Administration and Sports Marketing has been offered with additional sports courses to be offered during the Pesach Z’Man and the summer. Coupled with that, the FDU Yeshiva & Seminary Program is invited to the New Jersey Devils Chanukah Jewish Heritage Night on Tuesday, December 27. Everyone is invited to watch the Devils beat the defending Stanley Cup Champions, Pittsburgh Penguins. The FDU Hillel will also be in attendance.
