November 20, 2023 was World Children’s Day, initiated by the U.N. years ago. What an appropriate time to focus on the 38 children being held hostage by Hamas terrorists. That concept should draw one to query: Why in the world would those claiming injustice against their own take children and infants as hostages?
The greatest inquiry is why has the world at large been so quiet? Why hasn’t Congress issued an ultimatum to Hamas and its cohorts to immediately release the child hostages, no less all the hostages?
It is day 46 of the war and Israel has successfully amassed a multitude of evidence demonstrating Hamas’s squirreling of Israeli hostages through Al-Shifa Hospital. It released the hospital’s own surveillance video. It has been revealed that Hamas terrorists dressed as medical personnel to use the hospital to move out the hostages and in some cases, to kill others.
Why aren’t the rest of us outraged by the U.N.’s failure to monitor Hamas’s activities in Gaza. It has now been confirmed that Hamas has set up strategic command posts in major hospitals throughout the Strip. Millions of U.N. relief money and resources have been diverted from the Palestinians for use by Hamas. The U.S. should defund the U.N.
And speaking of being complicit, where is the International Red Cross’s morality? Forty-six days and no action whatsoever as to the current condition of the hostages.
It is time to reject the gaslighting and buzz words being slung in the media. To think that a sane person would believe the incredulous allegation made by the Palestinian Authority’s president that it was Israel itself that shot up, killed and mutilated the attendees to the music festival. That is as absurd as calling Israel an imperialist country, colonizers and supporters of apartheid. Only those ignorant of basic facts could say such a thing. Israel has 1.9 million Arabs citizens. They are part of the Knesset and armed services. Remarkably, the Hamas terrorists killed Bedouins, other Arabs, and even Arab women, treating them as collaborators.
Footage released by Hamas shows Palestinians pummeling some of the Israeli hostages. Those Palestinians born in the Strip have been weaned on a steady diet of hate, distrust and anti- Zionist vitriol. Is it any wonder that there is so much unwarranted hatred of Jews?
Where is the #MeToo movement? Why aren’t they protesting the mistreatment of Israeli women at the hand of Hamas terrorists and Palestinians involved in the Oct. 7, 2023 raid? Is there a political basis to justify rape, genital mutilation and killing of innocent women?
When I attended college and graduate school, I learned about intellectual honesty. Morality and intellectual honesty have been missing from our college campuses for years. Anyone that can chant, promote and endorse “from the river to the sea” or “free Palestine” lacks moral clarity and is living a lie. It is time to call out these deceivers. It is time to stamp out Jew hatred. It is time to douse the use of social media to spread those lies, hatred and attempts at rewriting history. It’s time to arrest those protesters that use force to take over both public spaces and private accommodations, employ intimidation tactics and use social media to encourage Jew hatred and Israel’s annihilation. The attack on the Capitol and the Democratic National Headquarters are perfect examples.
It is time to recognize that Israel is America’s only democratic ally in the Middle East. With all the violence being perpetrated by Iran and its proxies all over the world, including no less than 64 bombings of U.S. assets abroad, will it be long before we face another 9/11? If we don’t take the steps to stamp out hate, right to wrong and in this case voice our support for Israel, its hostages and support its efforts to remove Hamas as a threat, it won’t be long before attacks on our soil threaten our children, women and the elderly.
