Although the winter hasn’t seen much snow yet, the children at CYM bundled up to explore, ride bikes and play in the crisp cold air. When it did snow during the day, the children got their shovels and brushes out, clearing a path and taking the snow off of their Morahs’ cars.

The fun didn’t stop there. Inside their cozy classrooms the winter activity continued. Classes made their own snow to play with in their sensory bins and made miniature snowmen. Children experimented with temperatures to investigate how the rain freezes and becomes snow. They turned liquid water into solid ice and then painted with it. They also engaged in color sorting, math, literacy and more, all in the winter theme. Most importantly, they were filled with incredible appreciation for this white wonder of winter that Hashem has gifted us.
