Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Last week, WTA second grade students welcomed a special guest to their classroom. As part of their unit on civics and local community, the Honorable Jeff Rednick stopped by to speak with the class about his job as a judge in the town of Rye. Students shared questions which they had prepared beforehand and learned all about Judge Rednick’s job and how the court system works. The students were enthralled by his experiences. They spent some time after the visit reflecting in their journals, and each wrote a letter to Judge Rednick thanking him for the visit, explaining what they learned, and asking any additional questions they had.

In Judaic studies classes, students are busy preparing themselves for the upcoming Pesach sedarim. Early childhood classes are deep in the process, and parents and students alike are looking forward to seeing the beautiful and creative Haggadot that the children are creating in their classes. From 2-year-olds in the Zra’im program, all the way through eighth grade, each WTA student will bring home a unique Haggadah into which they’ve poured their hearts.
