Westchester Torah Academy (WTA) kicked off the month of Adar in grand style, celebrating Rosh Chodesh Adar with a royal flair. The day was filled with fun, laughter and excitement as our students embraced the theme of kings, queens, princes and princesses from every age group.
Our early childhood students started the celebrations with colorful parades, just like the festivities in Shushan. They were treated to special visits from our very own modern-day royalty, Rabbi Avi, the playful and spirited court jester clown, Moreh Haggai, and the ever-jovial King Rabbi Menchel.
The middle schoolers kept the celebration going by dancing and singing their way through the early childhood classrooms, bringing smiles and excitement to all. The middle schoolers then lead the lower school students in a lively chagiga, engaging them in dancing and singing to Purim and party-themes music. Then, they showcased their impressive moves at a middle school chagiga, displaying not only their dance skills but also their spirited Joyful Mindsets.
The entire day was a reminder of the fun, energy, and unity that Adar brings, and it was heartwarming to see the students of all ages come together to commemorate the start of this joyful season for Am Yisrael. WTA students can’t wait to keep the celebrations going throughout the month of Adar.
