Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

WTA Middle School students who went the extra mile by learning the Hilchot Brachot packet over February break were treated to a meaningful and exciting trip to the YU Seforim Sale. Judaic Studies Principal, Rabbi Yair Menchel, led them on a tour of the various sections, allowing them to explore and appreciate the vast world of Torah literature. After enjoying a delicious lunch, the students were privileged to hear an inspiring message from Rabbi Aharon Ciment, a Rebbe and Mashgiach at YU and the Rav of Arzei Darom in Teaneck, who spoke about Hashem’s active presence in our lives. The message resonated deeply with the students, encouraging them to reflect on how Torah learning and daily mitzvot bring them closer to Hashem and strengthen their bond with the Jewish people.

The trip to the YU Seforim Sale was much more than just an educational excursion—it was a powerful reminder that Torah learning extends far beyond the classroom. It shapes who we are, guides our actions, and deepens our connection to Hashem and to our community. This experience served as a beautiful example of how learning and inspiration go hand in hand. For our students, it was an opportunity to see firsthand how Torah texts and Jewish wisdom are accessible and relevant in today’s world, and how they continue to inspire generations of Jews to come.
