Yom Ha’atzmaut at Yavneh was truly spectacular! The day started with tefillah chagigit and musical Hallel, followed by lots of ruach, dancing and daglanut. Throughout the day, all students took part in the “Run to Yerushalayim” obstacle course. Lower school students learned about the significance of their team names and then decorated their running bibs. ECD children took a special trip to Israel and visited Tzfat, the Kinneret, Tel Aviv, Yerushalayim, a kibbutz, Ein Gedi and an army base! Middle School students participated in a Krav Maga program, mini lessons on Israeli people, places and innovations. The day culminated with Yavneh Academy’s annual staff/student basketball games.
