For the first time in four years, Yavneh Academy was thrilled to welcome families back to the annual seventh grade chicken dinner. Serving as the conclusion to the chicken kashering activity from two weeks ago, seventh grade students and their parents were treated to a wonderful celebratory meal prepared by Miss Terry and the kitchen crew. As a celebration of the learning that they have done this year, each student researched one mitzvah from sefer Devarim and prepared a presentation highlighting some of the key aspects of that mitzvah. Several students presented their research as divrei Torah, and students had a chance to review each other’s projects and learn from their classmates while enjoying a scavenger hunt based on the projects. The dinner concluded with this year’s chicken video, an annual highlight of the evening.
