The Pre-K children of Yavneh Academy and Gan Yavneh gathered together for a fun and festive havdalah night. During havdallah, many of our senses are used—listening to the beautiful singing of havdalah, smelling the fragrant b’smamim and tasting delicious grape juice. The children then used their senses as they made their own b’samim boxes, made interesting creations using wikki sticks and searched for Shabbat and havdallah items in a sensory bin. The highlight of the evening was the musical havdallah and beautiful singing and dancing. The energy and ruach were palpable. Thank you to Yavneh’s Yoni Stokar for leading the singing and dancing. The students ended the evening with a fun interactive game related to Shabbat and havdallah, and delicious pizza.
