At Yavneh Academy’s first erev Shabbat assembly of the year, the year’s theme was announced; Ayin Tova—20/20 Vision, seeing the good in everything, everyone, as well as in ourselves. Students from grades two through eight joined together to celebrate the weekly oneg Shabbat The students and faculty sang Shabbat songs together, members of the student council said hadlakat neirot and Kiddush, and everyone sang Shalom Aleichem. Each student was then handed a mirror and a sheet of paper with a code to decode using their mirror. The goal was to show that if they look at any situation using with the proper tools, there are ways to see the good! Yavneh is excited for a great year focusing on seeing the good all around us!
