YCQ Celebrates 73rd Anniversary and 1964 Class Reunion

According to reunion chairperson Dr. Paul Brody (standing, 2nd from left) more than one third of the class, most of whom have not seen each other for 50 years, was in attendance or contributed to the YCQ Scholarship Fund.

Dr. Brody compared the respect and admiration that the Class of 1964 had for its principals, Rabbi Boruch Charny, zt’l, Mrs. Min Suskowitz, z’l, Mrs. Miriam Ginsberg, z’l, and tibadel L’chaim, Rabbi Dr. Arthur Laifer (seated, center), to his first-hand observations of the impact that the current principal, Rabbi Mark Landsman (standing, 2nd from right), has had on his son Joey (standing, far right), who is in the graduating class of 2014, and his 8th-grade classmates.

Appreciation was also shown to assistant principals, Rabbi Moshe Hamel (standing, far left), Mrs. Lauren Golubtchik, Mr. Larry Cohen, who received the Leadership in Education Award, and Rabbi Steven Eisenberg. Popular faculty members Rabbi Jerome Acker (seated left) and Rabbi Shlomo Kovitz (seated right), as well as Mrs. Shoshana Glatzer (not shown), also attended the reunion. The event raised $30,000 over two years for the YCQ Scholarship Fund.
