Over the last few weeks, the Yeshivat He’Atid elementary school students spent much time preparing for Pesach. Fourth grade completed a thematic study between Pesach Dorot and Pesach Mitzrayim. The children compared and contrasted how we experience Pesach now versus how our ancestors experienced it thousands of years ago. They continued their exploration of Pesach Dorot by interviewing their families to learn about family Pesach traditions and compare their own minhagim to that of their classmates. The fifth grade students have been getting their divrei Torah ready for the Seder table. Rabbi Furst’s fifth grade class has been learning about each makah through an in-depth analysis of various mefarshim and sources. The students were intrigued about the various ways we can interpret the makot. They used their gathered information to write their own words of Torah to share with their families at the Seder table!
