Yeshivat He’Atid Third Graders Create a Class Zoo

In science, the Yeshivat He’Atid third-grade students have been learning about animal habitats. They selected an animal that interested them, and through inquiry and research, they learned all about that particular animal and its habitat. To present their research, each child wrote a research essay and provided a physical representation of the habitat to share with the class. The students became resident zookeepers as they displayed their completed habitat projects as an exhibit for a “class zoo.” The children had a chance to view each other’s habitats and take notes on what they learned from each exhibit.
