The Fourth Grade has very much enjoyed learning about the original inhabitants of New Jersey, the Lenni Lenape. They had previously gone to visit Waterloo Village. The students were now tasked with creating a museum-quality exhibit. Each student researched a different aspect of Lenni Lenape life: hunting/fishing, shelter, clothing and farming/gathering, and then created extraordinary artifacts. While using modern materials (cardboard, clay, etc) they constructed artifacts that mimicked the original items and original construction, where possible. The fourth graders expertly guided the third graders and various middle schoolers through the wonderful exhibit.
