Yeshivat Noam Celebrates Israel’s 70th Birthday

Yom Ha’atzmaut was filled with singing, dancing, davining, crafting, traveling, eating and celebrating Israel in Nitzanei Noam through eighth grade. Younger students enjoyed making passports and “traveling” to Eilat, Tzfat, Jerusalem and throughout Israel to experience the sights and sounds of Israel. Some of the highlights that students enjoyed included baking pita, participating in a drum circle with Musical IQ and watching the fifth grade girls perform a beautiful daglanut ceremony. The daglanut was choreographed by Yeshivat Noam’s banot sherut, Eden and Hadas, who have truly made a huge impact on the quality of Israel programming throughout the school year. Middle school students also had a wide range of exciting programming including Krav Maga, a rocking chagiga and an army-style obstacle course. Everyone came together in the evening at the annual Yom Ha’atzmaut family celebration hosted by YNPA. With over 700 people in attendance, the parent volunteers did an incredible job creating a fun and festive party to celebrate Israel’s 70th birthday!
