Yom Ha’Atzmaut to Be Celebrated in Livingston

Livingston Celebrates Israel is a Livingston Township tradition. The township has celebrated Independence Day for the past six years, and this year it is more important than ever to show support for the one true democratic ally of the United States in the Middle East. Join the celebration on Tuesday, May 14, 4-6:15 p.m.. Flag raising at 7 p.m. at Livingston Town Hall, 375 Livingston Avenue.

The core committee of Inna Yelisevich, Joana Rothenberg, Suzy Lugashi, Shyella Myak, Leah Commer, Joshua Commer and Elena Steinmetz, together with many others, have been planning a special afternoon of events that will take place at the Livingston Community Center and culminate with the raising of the Israeli Flag in front of town hall.

Young and old are invited to attend the events and learn about and support the Jewish (and?) Israeli community both here in Livingston and in Israel.
