(Courtesy of YIEB) The Young Israel of East Brunswick will honor Rabbi Yaakov and Rebbetzin Aviva Wasser at this year’s shul dinner. Rabbi Wasser had been the morah d’atrah at YIEB for over 40 years and is currently rabbi emeritus. He has helped Young Israel become the shul and warm community it is today.

Rabbi Wasser is well known for his Torah knowledge, having educated the community for many years and has brought many people closer to Hashem. He is also known for his continuous smile, sweet and kind personality, bringing comfort to all and always being there when needed. Rebbetzin Wasser has also been a pillar of the community. She is a true source of Torah knowledge and inspiration for many, and has been so vital in the growth of the Women’s WISE Learning Program among other initiatives she started and been a part of over the years.

This year’s honorees are very special and treasured members, leaders, and friends of our shul, community and all of klal Yisrael.

The dinner will also honor this year’s senior youth leaders.

The dinner will take place on Sunday, May 7 at the Radisson Hotel in Freehold, New Jersey. Thanks go to the Taijfel’s for their partnership for this year’s dinner.
