14-Year-Old DJ Nosson Helps Make Your Simcha Memorable

Nosson Feigenbaum is a professional DJ. He’s also 14 years old. But don’t let his age fool you; he’s been playing the drums consistently since age 3 and has developed a serious sense of rhythm and music.

In May 2020, after being unable to celebrate his bar mitzvah because of the lockdown, Nosson used the opportunity to think deeply about how he could bring happiness to others.

“Doing school remotely freed up time for me to really think about what I could do with music,” he said. “With the encouragement and support of my parents, I started to focus on how I could bring music to people for their simchas. That’s how I became a DJ.”

Entirely self-taught, Nosson began exploring how to become a DJ through experimentation on his computer. Quickly picking up the fundamentals, he invested in his own equipment only a few months later. After practicing at a family birthday party and bat mitzvah, he started to get referrals and secured clients after he officially launched his service in August 2020.

Focusing primarily on the most current Jewish music, Nosson ensures that he identifies every client’s preferences so that he can make a customized music experience just for them. No two events have identical lineups.

When asked what advice he would give to other aspiring DJs his age, Nosson said: “Be yourself. Don’t try to be anyone else. Do what you know you’re good at and what you love.”

DJ Nosson provides full DJ services and silent DJ options for all types of events and budgets. To learn more, visit djnosson.com or email him at [email protected].
