SAR’s 54th Anniversary Dinner Is Coming Soon

(Courtesy of SAR) SAR will host its 54th Anniversary Dinner on Motzei Shabbat, January 7, at Terminal 5 in New York City. The school community will gather to honor three esteemed members of its faculty—Adina Shoulson (SAR High School History Chair), Melissa Rothwax (SAR Academy faculty) and Shany Ohayon (Early Learning Center faculty)—with the Audrey Schurgin z”l Memorial Faculty Award.

These well-deserving teachers represent the dedication of the SAR faculty in unleashing the potential of their students, teaching them daily that they can make a difference, that their potential is exponential, and that what they do matters. Collectively, the honorees have made SAR their professional homes for nearly 50 years, each bringing their passion for teaching and commitment to the well being and growth of every student to the classroom daily.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of SAR High School, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy high school student performances, as well as special alumni exhibitions and experiences. The program will also include performances of the SAR Academy choir, a special tribute to beloved SAR founder, visionary leader and benefactor Ludwig Bravmann, z”l, and a screening of a documentary film highlighting the power of the SAR community. The evening will be enhanced by dinner and cocktails catered by Magic Fisch Hospitality in a unique Manhattan concert space, Terminal 5.

The SAR Anniversary Dinner campaign is the school’s largest annual fundraising initiative to benefit its scholarship fund, ensuring that every family has a place at SAR and that its more than 1,600 students can enjoy the most meaningful experiences, both in and out of the classroom, that will last a lifetime. The theme of this year’s campaign, What You Do Matters, highlights the power of every individual’s intentions and actions when coming together to support our school community.
