After weeks of preparing skits, songs, centerpieces, games and more, Naalehton 2022 finally arrived, and it was a smashing success! On Friday, the students heard from Rabbi Bentzion Klatzko who set the tone for a meaningful Shabbos. Later the girls went ice skating and then to the Hilton Parsippany where they were greeted with music and customized welcome bags. Once Shabbos began, the students enjoyed a beautiful davening and a delicious dinner as the weekend’s theme of #keepclimbing was introduced. The evening was packed with a Teacher Newlywed Game, a faculty panel about overcoming challenges, small group sessions about nisyonos and grade onegs featuring student-led programming and yummy snacks. The excitement continued Shabbos day with davening, kiddush and round robin sessions about characters in Jewish history who faced challenges.
The girls then enjoyed lunch and were given the remainder of the afternoon to choose between optional shiurim, games, Shabbos party and menucha. Not so many hours later, everyone gathered for seuda shelishit with beautiful singing, a hilarious skit from the G.O. and words of inspiration from Rabbi Wielgus. After a musical Havdala with Rabbi Jaffe and Rabbi Wielgus, each grade was given a different color T-shirt and came together for a Battle of the Grades Game Night. The night finished with a ruach-filled chagiga and melava malka featuring Digital Dov. It was a fun and inspiring weekend of connection for all involved!
