A Heartwarming Thanksgiving Celebration for Lone Soldiers and Bnot Sherut in Jerusalem

(Courtesy of the Lone Soldier Center) Over 400 lone soldiers and bnot sherut gathered in Jerusalem for a meaningful Thanksgiving celebration that brought together community, comfort and connection. Organized in partnership with Nefesh B’Nefesh, Ori Bnot Sherut and FIDF, the event provided a home-away-from-home experience for those serving far from their families.

The evening featured a traditional Thanksgiving feast, heartfelt words of encouragement, and uplifting live music by the Solomon Brothers, whose performance added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Attendees were able to relax, share stories and connect with others who understand their unique experiences.

For lone soldier M.S., the event was especially significant: “The Base is my home away from home. It’s my go-to place where I can hang out with lone soldiers just like me.”

The Thanksgiving celebration highlighted the importance of community and gratitude, offering attendees a chance to take a break from their demanding roles and feel the support of a larger family.

This event wasn’t just about the food and festivities—it was about showing these young men and women how deeply they are valued and appreciated.

This gathering was a testament to the power of unity and the shared commitment to supporting those who dedicate themselves to serving and protecting others.
