Advice for a Kid From a Kid

Dear Shayna,

My brother, sister and I fight a lot. We end up playing games that end up excluding one kid or choosing teams and then someone feels bad. I want to change up the dynamic and get along better with my siblings but I’m not really sure how. Can you help? Thanks so much.

Sincerely,
Fighting Fiona

Dear Fighting Fiona,

Play a group game that you all agree on. Try to compromise when you or your siblings start being unreasonable. Take turns if you and your siblings want the same object. Everybody fights with his/her siblings sometimes so don’t expect to never fight again, especially if your siblings are going through a stage that’s hard to deal with. Then again, if your siblings are properly trained they can bring you many hours of companionship and joy.

Best of luck.
