It was a cold morning, on a “short” Friday/Erev Shabbos, yet two dozen-plus community members came out on December 10 for a memorial service to mark the second anniversary of the deadly attacks on the Kosher grocery store in Jersey City on December 10, 2019. Held in Highland Park in the Community Center parking lot and organized by the borough’s human relations commission, the service was opened by Highland Park Councilman Matthew Hale and featured remarks by Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop and Rutgers Chabad Administrator and Port Authority Chaplain Rabbi Mendy Carlebach.
