Beth Aaron’s Project Thanks Shows Gratitude to Local Firefighters

Teaneck, NJ—Project Thanks is a new Thanksgiving Day initiative inaugurated by Congregation Beth Aaron, an Orthodox synagogue in Teaneck, to express thanks to the town’s brave firefighters. A Thanksgiving dinner “with all the trimmings” will be provided to all firemen on duty this Thursday.

The delivery of the meal will be taking place at noon to the central fire station at 1231 Teaneck Road. Rabbi Larry Rothwachs, the spiritual leader of the congregation, will be making a short presentation to the firefighters at that time. Larry Shafier, president of the synagogue, will also be present along with several other attendees.

Many of the member families of the congregation have donated to this endeavor to convey their appreciation to the firemen for their bravery, courage and valor in serving the community. The meal, prepared by Ma’adan of Teaneck, includes a classic Thanksgiving dinner menu with a few extras that include potato latkes and applesauce, a traditional dish served on Chanukah which this year coincides with Thanksgiving.
