As the first yahrzeit of Rav Yehuda Cooperman, z”l, approaches, all women in the community are invited to join in a leil azkara. Congregation Beth Abraham will host Rav Cooperman’s daughter, current dean of Michlalah, Dr. Devora Rosenwasser, who will deliver a shiur and share reminiscences in her father’s memory. The shiur will take place on Wednesday, December 21, at 8:30 p.m. at Congregation Beth Abraham, 396 New Bridge Road, Bergenfield, NJ.
The tribute to Rav Cooperman will continue on Monday morning, December 26 (a federal holiday), from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Beth Abraham with a yom iyun for women, featuring shiurim by noted educators who are also alumnae of Michlalah, including Mrs. Suzanne Cohen, chair of the Tanach department at Maayanot Yeshiva High School, and Mrs. Marcy Stern, principal of Machon Orah in Passaic.
