Bris Avrohom and Adath Israel joined together for Lag B’Omer with a picnic at the park in the Gan Yanina playground. Families enjoyed music, dancing, a barbecue, games and prizes. Passages of Torah promoting unity, loving your fellow Jew as yourself as taught by Rabbi Akiva, teacher of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, were studied in honor of this special day. The event was organized by Rabbi Avremy Kanelsky, Torah education and youth director, Bris Avrohom, and Rabbi Raphael and Shayna Karlin, youth directors, Adath Israel.
