One of the programs Bris Avrohom provides is maintaining a Jewish information stand at Newark Airport outside the El Al terminal. The stand is operated daily by rabbis of Bris Avrohom from Sunday through Thursday, who place tefillin on travelers, distribute tefillat haderech (the traveler’s prayer), as well as materials on Judaism, spirituality and events in the Jewish world. Rabbi Avremy Kanelsky, director of the Jewish information stand, prepared the El Al security staff for Rosh Hashanah by blowing shofar, speaking about the holiday and distributing honey.
